Fire Department
Truro Township Fire Department maintains mutual aid and automatic response agreements with area fire departments, such as Columbus, West Licking, Jefferson Township, Violet Township, Madison Township, Mifflin Township, and Whitehall. These agreements allows each department in the area to receive additional help when needed.
Cemetery
Silent Home Cemetery, a Truro Township facility, is 8.9 acres in size and has more than 5,000 graves filled. Families from the Reynoldsburg area have had loved ones buried here for more than 100 years. The township provides perpetual care.
Roads
Truro Township Road Department is responsible for maintaining 4.25 miles of township roads. The department's ongoing responsibilities include snow removal, salt spreading, temporary patching, mowing, berm work, and the cleaning of storm drains. Major road repairs in the township are coordinated with Franklin County Engineers.
Township Administration
Three trustees comprise the township's governing board. Each trustee is elected to a four-year term, and their duties are outlined in the Ohio Revised Code. The township trustees must adopt annual budgets based upon realistic revenue estimates, formally approve all spending, and authorize the hiring of township employees.
Trustee Meetings
Trustees meet normally on the first Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. in the township hall, which is located at 6900 E. Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio. All meetings are open to the public. Get the meeting minutes click here.
