Trustee Meeting Minutes July 1, 2010
The Truro Township Trustees held a regular meeting July 1, 2010 at 6:00 pm at St. 161. Present were Trustee Pat Mahaffey, Chief Foltz, Trustee Dennis Nicodemus, Fiscal Officer Natalie Nicodemus, Superintendent Stan Knoderer, B.C. Sharps and B.C. Deaver, Administrator Bob Stapleton B.C. Hein and B.C. Kimble. Trustee Barbara Strussion was absent.
The Meeting was called to order with the pledge and roll call.
Pat Mahaffey moved to approve meeting minutes June 3, 2010 meeting. Dennis Nicodemus seconded motion. All voted yes.
Guest:
Lee Brown Franklin County Economic Development & Planning Department: Would like to create a community plan called the Madison-Truro Community Plan. Delivered copies of other plans already finished and ask for our participation.
Chief Foltz: Civil War Re-Enactment went well.
New fire Prevention vehicle should be in this month.
MECC Chiefs would like to meet with an elected official from each member department so that there is more interaction between the two to discuss future developments.
Requisition submitted to upgrade routers to use cable modems.
AT&T tagged new phone line at St. 161 and Keytel will hook it up today to solve problems with fax machine.
Chief Hein: Clarify Finley invoices – This year is fifth year for CVA bottles. Must be hydro-static tested.
Fire Prevention report: 3 fire investigations
5 safety house tours
Ready for July 4th fireworks.
B.C. Kimble: Sent out packets to new hire part timers.
Lt. Dorsey is working on issues with American LaFrance E-162
Superintendent Stan Knoderer report: 2 gravesites purchased in Section E
Cleaned out about half the storm drains in the township – 2 will require cleaning by FCBOH.
3 homeowners reported to FCBOH for noxious weeds and 1 for disrepair of structure.
Currently mowing 5 vacant properties.
Fiscal Officer's report: May reconciliation authorized by motion from Pat Mahaffey. Dennis Nicodemus seconded. All voted yes.
Pat Mahaffey made a motion to approve the 2011 budget pending additions to roads and cemetery numbers. Dennis Nicodemus seconded. All voted yes.
Pay Mahaffey moved to approve payroll of $246,479.69 and bills of $329,521.43 for June. Dennis Nicodemus seconded the motion. All voted yes.
Pat Mahaffey moved to authorize Fiscal Officer to pay the bills and payroll for July. Dennis Nicodemus seconded. All voted yes.
Resolution #070110:
Be it resolved that the Truro Township Trustees direct the Fiscal Officer to decrease appropriations in Fund 5 in the amount of $1171.95 to correct negative balance. Changes are listed below:

Pat Mahaffey made motion to adjourn at 6:31pm.
