Trustee Meeting Minutes December 2, 2010
The Truro Township Trustees held a regular meeting December 2, 2010 at 6:00 pm at St. 161. Present were Trustee Pat Mahaffey, Trustee Dennis Nicodemus, Trustee Barbara Strussion, Fiscal Officer Natalie Nicodemus, Superintendent Stan Knoderer, B.C. Sharps, B.C. Hein and Chief Foltz, Administrator Bob Stapleton. B.C. Kimble and B.C. Deaver were absent.
The Meeting was called to order with the pledge and roll call.
Barbara Strussion moved to approve meeting minutes November 4, 2010. Pat Mahaffey seconded. All voted yes.
Resolution 12022010: Whereas, the Ohio revised code section 505.10 permits a board of township trustees to sell personal property, including motor vehicles, road machinery, tools, or supplies which is not needed for public use, is obsolete, or unfit for the use for which it was required . . .
Dennis Nicodemus seconded. All voted yes.
Chief Foltz: Estimate for remodeling by Mull & Weithman is here for you to look at.
Chief Hein: First Energy gas will be lowest. Need 1 year commitment but we can opt out if Columbia Gas is cheaper.
Dennis Nicodemus made motion to use First Energy for gas usage. Pat Mahaffey seconded. All voted yes.
B.C. Sharps: 2011 medical protocol will be delayed by one month.
Fire Prevention: Safety inspections in elementary schools are scheduled.
Continuing Cross Key Row inspections.
Conducted fire extinguisher demo at animal hospital on Lancaster Ave.
St. 162 is hosting the Central Ohio Fire Prevention meeting.
Superintendent Stan Knoderer report: Purchased 3 additional precast forms for military grave markers.
Dan Few repaired 3 storm drains in Qualstan and completed installation of new curb tops.
Snow removal of the Village of Brice will only be completed when absolutely necessary in an effort to keep costs down.
Fiscal Officer's report: October bank reconciliation was tabled.
Pat Mahaffey made motion to stay with Medical Mutual for health insurance for 2011. Dennis Nicodemus seconded. All voted yes.
Tabled employee contribution topic for a special meeting.
Bob Stapleton: Attended Ohio Township administrators fall forum and Blacklick & Rocky Fork Watershed forum.
Pat Mahaffey made motion to extend employees raises 2% the first year, 2.25% the second year and 2.5% the third year. Dennis Nicodemus seconded. All voted yes.
Pat Mahaffey made a motion to leave all base salaries the same (not to raise them). Barb Strussion seconded. All voted yes.
Pay Mahaffey moved to approve payroll of $260,736.00 and bills of $138,949.27 for November. Dennis Nicodemus seconded the motion. All voted yes.
Pat Mahaffey moved to authorize Fiscal Officer to pay the bills and payroll for December. Dennis Nicodemus seconded. All voted yes.
More discussion about Keytel's service contract – no decision made as on now.

Pat Mahaffey made motion to adjourn at 6:26pm.
Next regular and organizational meeting will be Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 6:00pm at Station 161.
