Trustee Meeting Minutes February 3, 2011
The Truro Township Trustees held a regular meeting February 3, 2011 at 6:00 pm at St. 161. Present were Trustee Pat Mahaffey, Barbara Strussion, Fiscal Officer Natalie Nicodemus, , B.C. Hein, B.C. Kimble, B.C. Sharps Chief Foltz and Trustee Dennis Nicodemus Administrator Bob Stapleton, Superintendent Stan Knoderer and B.C. Deaver.
The Meeting was called to order with the pledge and roll call.
Barbara Strussion moved to approve meeting minutes from January 6 meeting. Pat Mahaffey seconded motion. All voted yes.
Chief Foltz: Presented requisition for two new LikePac 15's.
Mull & Weithman will be here Tuesday, February 8 to discuss future renovations.
Leadership, Legacy and Tactical Firefighting training will be on March 31st and April 1st. This is a two day class at the RHS auditorium.
Fire/Arson Investigation & Case Management class will be held at St. 162 March 14, 15 & 16.
Chief Hein: Engine that was in an accident is in getting paint.
Looking into online auction for selling engine. It will be posted for 10 days with a minimum bid set.
Bureau of Workers Compensation rates have dropped due to lack of claims.
Fire Prevention report: Conducting inspections of Slate Ridge and Donley Homes building.
2 fire investigations this month.
B.C. Sharps: 2011 protocol is on hold.
Medical director coming in next week for update.
Pharmacy board inspected 161 & 162 – passed with flying colors thanks to Lt. Brooks.
B.C. Kimble: Lt. Bryan serviced the Impala. Battery was losing charge but was under warranty.
Still looking into options for carpet in bunk room and counter tops.
B.C. Deaver: Projects
1. Server needs updated to Windows 2008 to fix some current problems. Will cost $1853.00. Could look at possible outsourcing of server – Pat asked for this to happen.
2. Digital projectors need upgraded in training rooms. New bulbs will last longer and be more cost efficient.
Superintendent Stan Knoderer report: Burials: January 7, 2011: Erma Morris, January 8, 2011: Evelyn Pine-Smith
Fiscal Officer's report: Approved December 2010 bank reconciliation.
Administrator Bob Stapleton: Liability insurance up – getting quotes from Burnham & Flowers and Reinhart.
Resolution 2-3-11: A Resolution to hire legal council to represent the Township and its officials in official capacities and to advise on legal matters from time to time as matters may arise. Dennis Nicodemus seconded. All voted yes.
Pay Mahaffey moved to approve payroll of $281,569.96 and bills of $210,621.57 for January. Barbara Strussion seconded the motion. All voted yes.
Pat Mahaffey moved to authorize Fiscal Officer to pay the bills and payroll for February. Barbara Strussion seconded. All voted yes.
Next regular meeting will be Thursday, March, 3, 2011 at 6:00pm at Station 161.
