Trustee Meeting Minutes November 3, 2011
The Truro Township Trustees held a regular meeting November 3, 2011 at 6:00 pm at St. 161. Present were Trustees Pat Mahaffey, Barbara Strussion, Dennis Nicodemus, B.C. Hein, B.C. Deaver, Superintendent Stan Knoderer, Administrator Bob Stapleton. B.C. Kimble, B.C. Sharps, Chief Foltz and Fiscal Officer Natalie Nicodemus.
The Meeting was called to order with the pledge and roll call.
Barbara Strussion moved to approve meeting minutes from October 6 meeting. Pat Mahaffey seconded motion. All voted yes.
Fire Department
Chief Foltz: Wednesday, November 9 at 2pm FEMA will be testing the alerting system through NOAA.
Chief Hein: Medic was damaged from hitting a deer – being repaired.
Lt. Dorsey and a committee are looking at new medic units for the future. Hoping to have presentations by February 1, 2012.
Re-evaluation figures will come out in January 2012.
B.C. Deaver: Fiber, MECC budget, MECC servers, Phone project
B.C. Kimble: Dishwasher at St. 162 is fixed.
Getting quotes from Defabco and Roberts Electric for outside lights at St. 162. Looking at possibility of fabrication boxes.
Fire Prevention report: 2 fire investigations
105 Building inspections
Issued stop work order at Big Fat Gyro
Safety House went to 7 events in October and there were several station tours for Fire Prevention Month.
B.C. Sharps: 486 EMS runs in October.
Roads and Cemetery
Superintendent Stan Knoderer report: Received donations for 10 more military plaque foundations.
The Franklin County Traffic Engineer informed us we do not have authority to make John St a one-way.
Owner of 4976-82 Chatterton complied with certified letter regarding removal of noxious weeds.
Administration
Fiscal Officer's report: Approved October 2011 bank reconciliation.
Administrator Bob Stapleton: no report
Pat Mahaffey moved to approve payroll of $262,742.81 and bills of $252,340.41 for October. Barbara Strussion seconded the motion. All voted yes.
Pat Mahaffey moved to authorize Fiscal Officer to pay the bills and payroll for November. Barbara Strussion seconded. All voted yes.
Pat Mahaffey made motion to adjourn at 6:15pm.
Next regular meeting will be Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 6:00pm at Station 161.
