Trustee Meeting Minutes November 4, 2010
The Truro Township Trustees held a regular meeting November 4, 2010 at 6:00 pm at St. 161. Present were Trustee Pat Mahaffey, Trustee Dennis Nicodemus, Trustee Barbara Strussion, Fiscal Officer Natalie Nicodemus, Superintendent Stan Knoderer, B.C. Kimble, B.C. Sharps, B.C. Hein and Chief Foltz, Administrator Bob Stapleton and B.C. Deaver
The Meeting was called to order with the pledge and roll call.
Barbara Strussion moved to approve meeting minutes October 7, 2010.
Chief Foltz: Discussed remodeling with Mull & Weithman.
Christmas Toy Drive for 2010 will be at St. 161.
Chief Hein: Looking into natural gas purchasing program which could save 13%.
Pat Mahaffey recommended looking into Giant Eagle cash back fleet program for fuel.
B.C. Sharps: Flu Shots were given this month.
Lt. Brooks is gathering information for Lifepaks for possible replacement next year.
B.C. Kimble: Gathering quotes for crack in countertop at St. 162.
Further discussion is needed for remedy of separation of seam in bunk room at St. 162.
B.C. Deaver: MECC is working on budget.
Asked about possibility of not renewing service contract with Keytel – Trustees would like to look at other companies.
Fire Prevention: 50 business inspections.
Safety House has been to several elementary schools this month.
Superintendent Stan Knoderer report: Purchased 12 precast forms for military grave markers.
Franklin County Engineers cleaned 2 storm drains in Qualstan and 1 storm line along Chatterton Rd.
Part Time worker Rick Radebaugh has completed seasonal work and has agreed to aid in snow removal on an as needed basis.
Fiscal Officer's report: Cemetery bequest CD was set up at Heartland Bank for 15 months at 1.27%.
September reconciliation authorized by motion from Pat Mahaffey. Dennis Nicodemus seconded. All voted yes.
Resolution #11042010: Be it resolved that the Truro Township Trustees direct the Fiscal Officer to appropriate funds from the un-appropriated money in Fund 3 in the amount of $11,000.00 into 03-B-01 to pay salaries.
Bob Stapleton: Thank you to everyone who helped with formfire. Working on insurance quotes now.
Pay Mahaffey moved to approve payroll of $263,980.32 and bills of $344,484.85 for
October. Dennis Nicodemus seconded the motion. All voted yes.
Pat Mahaffey moved to authorize Fiscal Officer to pay the bills and payroll for November. Dennis Nicodemus seconded. All voted yes.
Pat Mahaffey made motion to move to executive session at 6:25pm.
Pat Mahaffey made motion to return to regular meeting at 7:30pm.
Pat Mahaffey made motion to adjourn at 7:31pm.
Next regular meeting will be Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 6:00pm at Station 161.
