Trustee Meeting Minutes May 5, 2011
The Truro Township Trustees held a regular meeting May 5, 2011 at 6:00 pm at St. 161. Present were Trustee Pat Mahaffey, Barbara Strussion, B.C. Hein, B.C. Sharps, Chief Foltz, Trustee Dennis Nicodemus, B.C. Deaver Fiscal. Officer Natalie Nicodemus, B.C. Kimble, Superintendent Stan Knoderer and Administrator Bob Stapleton were absent.
The Meeting was called to order with the pledge and roll call.
Barbara Strussion moved to approve meeting minutes from April 3 meeting. Pat Mahaffey seconded motion. All voted yes.
Chief Foltz: Steve Cossin will be sworn in as new Full Time employee.
Will be purchasing new tough book computers for medic vehicles from City of Whitehall. They will last for several years at a substantial savings to the department.
Violet Twp will have our KME engine for another month.
Chief Hein: Bids for sealing asphalt at Station 161 in parking areas.
B.C. Kimble: Absent
Fire Prevention report: 75 business inspections
No fire investigations
B.C. Sharps: Lifepak 15 delivered – will be in service in next 2 weeks.
B.C. Deaver: no report
Superintendent Stan Knoderer report: Absent
Fiscal Officer's report: Approved March 2011 bank reconciliation.
Barb Strussion: Qualstan – street sweep looks better than last year. Many yards need tended to in that development. In particular one with a car in the yard.
Administrative Order: Personnel shall not use township vehicles for personal business. All personnel shall strive to conserve fuel and reduce normal wear and tear on all vehicles by limiting their use for reasons other than safety or emergency services. Motion by Pat Mahaffey. All voted yes.
Trustees approved payroll deductions from OAPFF Deferred Compensation.
Trustees agreed to reimburse Kimberly Foltz for family plan health insurance.
Pay Mahaffey moved to approve payroll of $257,007.78 and bills of $291,470.32 for April. Barbara Strussion seconded the motion. All voted yes.
Pat Mahaffey moved to authorize Fiscal Officer to pay the bills and payroll for May. Barbara Strussion seconded. All voted yes.
Swearing in of Steve Cossin.
Pat Mahaffey made motion to adjourn at 6:35pm.
Next regular meeting will be Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 6:00pm at Station 161.
