Trustee Meeting Minutes May 6, 2010
The Truro Township Trustees held a regular meeting May 6, 2010 at 6:00 pm at St. 161. Present were Trustee Pat Mahaffey, Barbara Strussion, Fiscal Officer Natalie Nicodemus, Chief Foltz, Trustee Dennis Nicodemus, Superintendent Stan Knoderer, B.C. Sharps and B.C. Deaver. Administrator Bob Stapleton B.C. Hein and B.C. Kimble were absent
The Meeting was called to order with the pledge and roll call.
Barbara Strussion moved to approve meeting minutes with changes from April 1 meeting. Pat Mahaffey seconded motion. All voted yes.
Guest: Joe Bradley Healthy Life Screening. Company who does onsite cardiovascular screening for $199 per person currently at employee's expense. Tentative date is May 21, 2010.
Chief Foltz: B.C. Kimble had an eye operated on and is doing well.
Only open grant is for hoses. All others were turned down.
Reynoldsburg Police Department is accepting our surplus medic.
May 16, 2010 from 10am-2pm the Safety House will be at Blacklick Woods for National Missing and Exploited Children's Day.
Fire Prevention report: 90 business inspections
2 fire investigations
Participated in fireworks code training
All units walked through Value King
Lt. Brooks: Vests were ordered at final markdown price. Highest stab level = Level 2A Spike 3
B.C. Sharps: Department Physicals were May 3, 4, 5, 2010.
Final meeting for EMS software completed. Will go live next week.
Lt. Brooks is investigating grant for winter coats.
B.C. Deaver: Thank you to Todd Poole who wrote program to pull CAD info into new software.
MECC is working on accountability grant with Whitehall department.
Superintendent Stan Knoderer report: 1 interment Mrs. Saida Mishurieva April 30, 2010.
Street cleaning of Qualstan East completed April 15, 2010.
2 reports to board of health.
Richard Radebaugh hired as summer assistant.
American Legion is supplying flags for Memorial Day ceremony.
Fiscal Officer's report: March reconciliation authorized by motion from Pat Mahaffey. Dennis Nicodemus seconded. All voted yes.
Audit completed and decided against post audit meeting.
Investment policy approval tabled.
Resolution #05062010: Be it resolved that the Truro Township Trustees direct the Fiscal Officer to appropriate funds from the un-appropriated money in the Fund 3 in the amount of $4,148.45 into 03-B-02A to pay for salt purchased from the City of Reynoldsburg.
Old Business: Send investment policy to Baker & Hostetler for Fiscal Officers request changes and contract from Heartland Bank.
Pay Mahaffey moved to approve payroll of $253,010.63 and bills of $157,935.29 for April. Barbara Strussion seconded the motion. All voted yes.
Pat Mahaffey moved to authorize Fiscal Officer to pay the bills and payroll for May. Barbara Strussion seconded. All voted yes.
Pat Mahaffey made motion to adjourn at 6:50pm.
Next regular meeting will be Thursday June 3, 2010 at 6:00pm at Station 161.
