Trustee Meeting Minutes October 6, 2011
The Truro Township Trustees held a regular meeting October 6, 2011 at 6:00 pm at St. 161. Present were Trustees Pat Mahaffey, Barbara Strussion, Dennis Nicodemus, B.C. Hein, B.C. Deaver, Superintendent Stan Knoderer, and Administrator Bob Stapleton. B.C. Kimble, B.C. Sharps and Chief Foltz. Fiscal Officer Natalie Nicodemus was absent.
The Meeting was called to order with the pledge and roll call.
Barbara Strussion moved to approve meeting minutes from September 1 meeting. Pat Mahaffey seconded motion. All voted yes.

Fire Department
Chief Foltz: no report
Chief Hein: 2012 fire grant has been submitted.
Bill for Working Partners is for BWC Drug Free Work Place.
B.C. Deaver: Security monitor at station 161 was replaced
Power supply for cameras at 162 replaced and new camera ordered for rear parking lot 162
Continuing to work with Violet Twp on combining phone systems and servers. Dan Guttman looking over proposal
B.C. Kimble: MRS will be in to check furnaces at both stations.
Working on getting stations ready for winter.
Fire Prevention report:
2 fire investigations
Car fire at 1675 Truro Rd was arson.
Fire extinguisher demo for Kinder Care
B.C. Sharps: 419 EMS runs in September.
29 members of department received flu shots
Created a committee to begin researching the purchase of a new medic.
Roads and Cemetery
Superintendent Stan Knoderer report: Working on pouring foundations for setting monuments and seeding of new graves.
Working with the Franklin County Traffic Engineer regarding possibility of making John St a one-way.
Administration
Fiscal Officer's report: Approved September 2011 bank reconciliation.
Administrator Bob Stapleton:

Resolution #100611: Be it resolved that the Truro Township Trustees adopt the Black-Madison Area Plan as Township policy. Barb Strussion seconded. All voted yes.
Resolution accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the budget commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the county auditor. Dennis Nicodemus seconded. All voted yes.
Pay Mahaffey moved to approve payroll of $258,809.44 and bills of $339,633.17 for September. Barbara Strussion seconded the motion. All voted yes.
Pat Mahaffey moved to authorize Fiscal Officer to pay the bills and payroll for October. Barbara Strussion seconded. All voted yes.
Pat Mahaffey made motion to adjourn at 6:37 pm.
Next regular meeting will be Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 6:00pm at Station 161.
